Siblings in the shadows

Around 300 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer every year. From one day to the next, the lives of everyone in the family are turned upside down and nothing is the way it used to be. Childhood cancer thus also affects siblings who often find themselves in the shadows of a sister or brother suffering from the disease. The drastic changes often put more psychological strain on them than their behaviour would suggest. This is why they are in desperate need of an attentive and appreciative environment to accompany and support them during this difficult time.
