SPOG as a partner in the Race For Life 2021

This year, SPOG was a partner in the Race for Life, a charity bicycle race that took place on 12 September on the Bundesplatz in Bern. The sporting effort was meant to symbolise the fight against cancer that those affected are confronted with on a daily basis. All donations will be used to support people affected by cancer and to promote cancer research in Switzerland.

The proceeds of the event will go to various charitable organisations committed to helping people with cancer. SPOG is one of these organisations and the only one in Switzerland that conducts or at least coordinates and to a considerable extent also finances clinical research for children and adolescents with cancer. It is only with this kind of research that therapies for children and adolescents with the disease can be continuously optimised, thus helping patients to achieve a better quality of life in the short and long term.
