“Schwitz for Kids”

“Schwitz Chaschte”, which actually means headlock, is an exercise programme in Ohmstal, a small village in the country outside Lucerne. People from the village and the surrounding area meet here to improve their strength, fitness and coordination together. In addition to the weekly exercise sessions, events are also organised on a regular basis.

The “Schwitz for Kids” event took place on 11 May 2024, for the first time accompanied by an appeal for donations. The participants gave their all, worked up a sweat and busily collected donations for children with cancer. For Andrea Bättig, who runs the Schwitz-Chaschte exercise programme, the “Schwitz for Kids” event is a matter close to her heart. As a mother, she is very grateful that she is able to live and work in a lovely village with her healthy family. And she is absolutely certain: “Happiness is the only thing that doubles when you share it.”

At the end of the event, a total of CHF 1,500 was raised and the proceeds are going to Childhood Cancer Switzerland. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks!
