Save the Date: WeCanDays 2023
Many former childhood cancer patients, referred to as survivors, are confronted with challenges that are not always understood by those around them. This makes it all the more important for them to exchange ideas and network with others who have shared similar experiences – in this way they do not feel so alone. The Childhood Cancer Switzerland Survivors’ Centre is now inviting affected families to the WeCanDays for the sixth time. This year’s event is taking place from 29 September to 1 October in Kandersteg.
The WeCanDays are aimed at survivors over the age of 18. This year, the professionally accompanied weekend, which to date had only taken place in German, is also being held in French. Under the motto “Finding balance together”, the survivors can attend various workshops in addition to the outdoor activities organised in an idyllic setting.
During exciting workshops, excursions and sporting activities, the WeCanDays give you the opportunity to share positive experiences with other survivors. Together with the competence centre, specialists from the fields of medicine and psycho-oncology provide information and advice on the latest follow-up care topics.
