FaR-RMS: therapy optimisation study on the treatment of rhabdomyosarcomas
The study is investigating children and adults with newly diagnosed rhabdomyosarcomas (RMS) or with a relapse. RMS is what is referred to as a soft tissue tumour that originates in muscle tissue and occurs mainly in children, but also in adolescents and adults.
Aim of the study
The study is investigating various strategies to improve treatment outcomes in RMS patients by adapting chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In addition, biological aspects of RMS are being researched in order to better understand the genetic structure of RMS cells.
