Study on the development of quality of life after childhood cancer
Thanks to multimodal, intensive therapies, over 85% of children and adolescents with cancer in Switzerland survive. However, childhood cancer therapy leads to health problems and impairments in everyday life for many. This affects the survivors’ quality of life even many years later.
It is particularly important to find out what characterises survivors if their quality of life has improved, remained the same or deteriorated over time.
Aim of the study
The aim of the study is to create a knowledge base to enable survivors to enjoy the same quality of life in the long term as people who did not suffer from childhood cancer.
